How do Mitsubishi PHEVs work?
Mitsubishi Motor’s Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) system combines both a pure electric and hybrid powertrain to bring low emissions, a quite drive, responsive 4WD performance, instant torque and a long driving range.
It utilises a high-capacity battery located under the floor, coupled with front and rear electric motors, a 2.4L petrol engine and a generator. Depending on driving conditions and battery level, the plugin hybrid powertrain automatically selects the optimum combination of EV and hybrid driving. All you have to do is enjoy the fuel-efficient motoring and outstanding performance.
